Monday Misprices for the WGC-Fedex St. Jude Invitational

The Best Draftkings Values Under $8,000
by Joe Thomas aka @Blatant_Chief

Last week in Tokyo we saw Xander Schauffele finally get the monkey off his back by claiming the Olympic gold medal with a gutsy victory. We were on “Mighty Mito” Pereira who continued his strong play notching a T4, as well as “The Austrian Bulldog” Sepp Straka, with a solid T10.

This week, we head back Stateside for a big money event, The WGC-Fedex St. Jude Invitational, played at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee. The course will play as a Par 70, just over 7,200 yards, with zoysia grass on the fairways, and Champion bermuda grass on the greens, which we haven’t seen in quite a while. Most of the world’s elite will be in the field gunning for both the escarole and Fedex Cup points as the season nears playoff time. So, without further adieu, here are the top Draftkings values priced under $8,000...

*keep in mind this is a reduced-field, no cut event where the pricing is already depressed a bit

$7,600-COUSIN HARRIS ENGLISH-HOME DEPOT (HAMMER) SPECIAL-It seems to me like Draftkings just doesn’t respect an original member of our fantasy Family Tree. At every recent major or other big boy event, Harris is simply unable to break through above the $8,000 price ceiling. Good news for us as we will continue to hammer the piss out of him with the vigor of a young Bob Vila. The don of the “Sea Island Mafia” has four T-15s this season, including two wins and a 3rd at the US Open. Back on his native bermuda turf, I expect yet another lurk job by Harris as he vies for the Fedex Cup mega $.

$7,500-BRIAN “THE HARMANATOR”-Let’s keep it nice and simple here: the guy’s been playing solid golf all year, he peaks at big boy events, he’s a founding member of the Bermuda Boys Club, and he’s had success here in the past, albeit eons ago. Still, fire at will.

$7,400-TY HATTON-OK I understand the entire community is pissed off at this guy for letting us down continuously in every big spot for the last two years, HOWEVER, this price is just plain wrong for any player ranked 13th best in the world. 1 lineup for FOMO.

$7,100-BILLY HORSCHEL-Billy Ho has been in-and-out of our golfing family since its inception. In general we like the guy (not just because of his resemblance to The Dark Knight), but we really like the guy on Southeastern bermuda tracks. He seems to like it here too with four T10s in six appearances. So if you’re still at Home Depot with Cousin Harris, pick up some chicken wire and a sledgehammer because we're going GATOR HUNTING TONIGHT, YEEHAW!

Sicko Specials-$7,000 or less (tread lightly): KISNER, UNCLE LEE (FOMO), PALMER, CINK, RAI, and COUSIN WILCO.

BOL TO ALL!
