Monday Misprices for the Sanderson Farms Championship-2021

Coming off a complete dismantling of the aging European squad at the Ryder Cup, Team USA will go their separate ways as the swing season carries on. Sergio! (Jon Hamm voice) will be the only participant to make the trip south from Whistling Straits to the Country Club of Jackson, Mississippi to defend his Sanderson Farms Championship.

The Par 72 bermuda track has seen a plethora of first-timers win here. We also have seen college and amateur standouts from the South contend on this traditional layout. With a relatively weak field coming off the Ryder Cup matches, we will have to dive in deep to identify the top Draftkings values. However, there does seem to be a ton of "Sicko Specials" below $7,000 this week, at least on paper, and it just takes one diamond in the rough to take down a mega GPP. So without further adieu, let's give it a whirl. Here are my top value plays under $8,000, with brief descriptions as to why...

$7,500-CHRIS KIRK-Captain Kirk won this event in 2011 (at the prior host course, Annandale), and has a runner-up and a 9th here in Jackson. He also had a rock solid ball-striking season, coupled with his proclivity for bermuda grass, I'd "Walk The Line" straight to the cup this week with Kirky, so look out Jaaaackson town...

$7,200-TOM HOGE-"Hollywood" as he's affectionately known in The Community has been striking his approaches like Hogan for the better part of the last three months. We've seen him shine at point-and-shoot Par 72s in the past, and with the way he closed out the Summer, we may need to get North Dakota's finest his own star on the Walk of Fame sooner rather than later...

$7,200-BRANDT SNEDEKER-Shout out to old Sundoggie for pointing this out, but no less than three recent winners of this event hail from the neighboring Volunteer state (Malnaughty, Stallings, and the aforementioned Chris Kirk). We may be adding Sneds to that list come Sunday evening. 17th here last time around, and one of the best to ever handle the flatstick, the golden boy of the Great Smokies should feel right at home this week.

Sicko Specials (sub-$7K): Augenstein, Putnam (shot 59 a few days ago), DENNY BOI, JT THE POSTMAN, DOC, BIG DAWIE, MALNAUGHTY, Cookie, Riley, Hagy, and last but certainly not least, we call him Yung Junah around these parts, the newest member of the Sea Island Mafia, 2021 SEC Player of the Year and certifiable member of the Athens Dawg Pound (woof woof), Davis effin Thompson!
