Monday Misprices for the Rocket Mortgage Classic

Coming off an all-time victory from Cousin Harris English in an epic 8-hole playoff with Kramer Hickok at the Travelers, the Tour heads to the Midwest for the Rocket Mortgage Classic, played at the Donald Ross designed Detroit Golf Club. Big Bad Bryson will return to defend his title, along with runner-up Matthew Wolff, Reed, Webb, Hideki, and The Kokraken amongst others.

So, let's see if we can identify the best DFS value plays on Draftkings under $8,000...

$7,900-DOC REDMAN-The former Clemson Tiger and USAM Champ clearly found something with a runner-up at Congaree a couple weeks ago. Now he returns to a place where he was in the Top 25 last year, and runner up in the inaugural 2019 event. He also was Top 15 in Approach last week at Travelers including a 66. Full systems a-go for the Doctor this week.

$7,800-HV3-FOMO, but also was 2nd in Approach at Travelers, and Top 15 in ball striking. The win is coming for the guy we all want to win, it’s just a matter of time.

$7,700-MAVERICK MCNEALY-Back to Back Top 30 finishes could continue this week for Cousin Mav who is continuing to improve as a Tour caliber player. He also had a Top 10 here last year so the course clearly suits his eye. Mix that with a Top 5 week of ball striking at the Travelers, I think the train keeps on a rollin’ for the young buck this week in the Motor City.

$7,700-SEPP STRAKA-THE AUSTRIAN BULLDOG will be getting the old Home Depot Special this week (aka The Hammer) for the following reasons: led the field in Ball Striking last week en route to a T10 in Hartford, along with a T5 in Approach, add that to another T10 here last year. Sprinkle in the fact he watched his fellow Georgia dawg reign victorious in an epic battle, the stars have seemingly aligned. If he breaks my heart again, at least it won’t be the first time, and probably not the last...

$7,600-COUSIN KYLE STANLEY-1ST SG: APPROACH at Travelers, let’s run it back!

$7,500-LANTO GRIFFIN-just simply underpriced for a player of his ilk in a field this weak, on an easy track nonetheless. Phenomenal backstory btw if you don’t know already, go watch Rich Lerner’s piece on him from this year’s US Open.

$7,500-RYAN ARMOUR-4th here last year, playing much better recently, and known to go very low at easy courses.

$7,400-GENERAL PATTON KIZZIRE-FOMO.

$7,100-TROY MERRITT-The “Play Troy Merritt in the Midwest” Law is officially in effect.

Sicko Specials-Sub $7K (tread lightly): Norlander, Kodaira, Hoge!

BOL TO ALL!
