Sub $8K Draftkings Value Plays by @Blatant_Chief
Last week we saw Patrick Cantlay take down Collin Morikawa in an epic, rain-soaked playoff to claim his second Memorial title in four years. Now, with the US Open at Torrey Pines less than two weeks away, players must first take-on the relatively unknown Congaree Golf Club in South Carolina for the Palmetto Championship.
Here are my top value plays under $8,000 on Draftkings (as you will see, the weak field prior to the US Open has created a brutal pricing structure this week, so tread lightly). Also, make sure to monitor the WDs with Torrey Pines looming in the not-so-distant future...
$7,800-Rafa Cabrera-Bello-The handsome Spaniard has also improved his game of late, with ball-striking success in Texas and at The Memorial. I expect it to continue as recent form is even more important than usual this week at the unknown course.
$7,800-Uncle Marty Laird-the Scottish sensation continues to ball-strike the piss out of it, with a particularly eye-catching performance at the correlated Kiawah for the PGA. I expect his unusually high-apex ball-flight to work well on these forced carries over the wastelands.
$7,800-Matthew NeSmith-proposed to now-wife at the nearby-ish Harbour Town and is a South Carolina boy through and through. Although not striking it as well as he did to start the year, his stats on approach are still top-tier for the season.
$7,700-Pat Perez-his eyes must be on the US Open next week in his San Diego hometown, but he has to contend here first, and with his improved play of late, and lurking at the Tom Fazio designed Eagle Point nearby, I expect another solid week from the vino aficionado.
$7,600-JT THE POSTMAN-mostly a FOMO play for the Carolina boy, but he is familiar with the track and should have supreme confidence after qualifying for the USO.
$7,600-BERMUDA BENJI MARTIN-the Clemson product is playing much better of late after years of struggling to keep his Tour card. A T-10 here would solidify him finding his “one true authentic swing.”
$7,300-WILCO NIENABER-although his compatriot GARRICK HIGGO will be more touted, and rightfully so based on his Euro success of late, just search WILCO NIENABER and you’ll see a 390 yard CARRY piss missile amongst other feats of humanity from this South African wunderkind.
Sicko Specials-Sub $7K (tread lightly): John Pak (FSU stud turned Pro), and Scotty Brown (local BFF of the Kis-this one’s for you Romeo).
